Several friends and acquaintances have asked how I was doing after my cardiac ablation procedure in June 2024.

Two years later I give a short update to answer questions that almost all people suffering from atrial fibrillation ask: Did your cardiac ablation work for you? Ultimately, people want to know whether it is worth undergoing this procedure. Obviously, I can't answer that last question, because each person, and their heart and personal situation, is different.

I can only talk about my experience. I hope this helps you, whether you have atrial fibrillation or know someone who has it. I did not want to have that operation, but I'm now glad that I did have it.

Cardiac Ablation: My Experience

On June 12, 2024, I had an operation called 'cardiac ablation'. Here I explain the reasons leading to my decision to have this operation. I forgot to mention in the video that I had cryoablation, which entails creating scar tissue via extreme cold.

I wanted to do this video earlier, but it was better to give you an update only after my three-month checkup. The procedure was straightforward and successful. I'm thankful for the care and expertise of the team at Fribourg Hospital (Fribourg, Switzerland).

This is a follow-up video on video on my experience with a procedure called 'cardioversion', which I had on April 3, 2024.

You can see the video here: https://youtu.be/NcDwmRWPAFM This is not an instructional video but a testimony about my condition and experience.
